Baba's words on how to meditate
My method is quite unique. To get the knowledge (realization) of Self, dhyaana (meditation) is necessary. If you practice it continuously, vrittis (tendencies) will be pacified. When the mind is concentrated, the goal will be achieved.
You should meditate on God, who is in all creatures. Meditate always on my formless nature, which is Knowledge Incarnate, Consciousness and Bliss (sat-chit-ananda).
If you cannot do this, meditate on My form from head to foot in front of your mind’s eye, day and night.
When you will thus concentrate on me, you will eventually become single-pointed, and the distinction between the meditator, the act of meditation and the object meditated upon will vanish. The meditator will then be one with that Supreme Energy and be merged in Brahman.
The mother tortoise lives on one bank of the river and the children are on the other bank. Their rearing is done by the exchange of glances. The loving glance of the mother tortoise is enough to make the young ones happy. Similar is the relation between Guru and Disciple.
~Shri Sai Satcharitra, Chapter 19
Mohanji on meditation
“We meditate to get in touch with our soul. To go within ourselves. To go beyond the senses. To shut off the conscious mind.
Our senses, our mind and our intellect use up a lot of our energy when we engage with the world. But instead, we can use the same mind to go within where we can find our origin, truth or soul. Peace exists there. Happiness exists there.
If meditation is done properly, we circulate the energy within ourselves and it rejuvenates our entire system and opens up the door for the Higher.”
~Mohanji

When we sit still in silence with closed eyes, we may be blocking out the outside world, but often the phenomena-seeking tendency of the mind is still active. This will be manifested in the form of chaotic, wandering thoughts.
But we can choose to not engage in the thoughts, and just witness them. Regularly practicing this type of sitting in silence, we will find that thoughts will gradually be deprived of their strength. Eventually they will disappear, giving way to silent awareness.
This type of silent meditation that Baba talks about in the Sai Satcharitra, can be challenging to many.
However, Baba also shows His devotees an effortless way: they can channel their bhakti (devotion) and place their attention upon Baba’s form to melt into a meditative state.

The Sai Miracle Meditation
A powerful way to infuse bhakti into meditation is through the "Sai Miracle Meditation"
This profound meditation, in the voice of Mohanji, guides us through beautiful imagery and chants. Listening to his deep and soothing voice, we are able to easily drop into the heart space where the grace and powerful healing presence of Baba can be felt.
We can do the Sai Miracle Meditation individually and also with a group. One of the advantages of meditating with a group is that the group’s collective energy field can enhance our personal experience.
